IMMIMPANGKEP – This Hadith is about Joy
It was narrated from Abu Al-Ahwas (Radi Allahu Anhu) that ‘Abdullah (Radi Allahu Anhu) said: “Allah, may He be exalted, said: ‘Fasting is for me and I shall reward for it. The fasting person has two moments of joy: When he breaks his fast and when he meets his Lord. And the smell that comes from the mouth of the fasting person is better before Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) than the fragrance of musk.'”

Fasting is exclusively for the pleasure of Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala). The one who fasts will find their reward with Him alone. When we break our fast, we anticipate food and drink, make duas and thank Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala) for what we have. It’s a daily ritual in Ramadan that is rooted in spirituality and so comforting. Imagine how much greater the reward will be when we meet the One who we fast for! Subhan’Allah! (*)
