IMMIMPANGKEP – This Hadith is about Dried Dates

Anas bin Malik (Radi Allahu Anhu) narrated that: The Messenger of Allah (Subhanahu wa ta’ala),(peace be upon him) said: “Whoever has dried dates, then let him break the fast with that, and whoever does not, then let him break the fast with water, for indeed water is purifying.”

We break our fast with what is the Sunnah and what is tayyab. The dates provide us with energy and nutrition while also being succulent and sweet tasting too. And if there are no dates, then pure water is enough. Alhamdulillah for the simplicity and beauty of our deen! (*)
